Meet Ryann.

Hey Bison fam! I’m Ryann May, a proud freshman from Atlanta, Georgia, majoring in Political Science (with a big love for acting too 🎭). Howard University was my first and only choice, and I’m so grateful to finally be here with all of you.

I’m running for Miss Freshman 2025 with my platform, "Mirror Mirror".

The heart behind it is simple: at Howard, we’re surrounded by so much greatness that it can be both inspiring and intimidating. But the truth is, each of us brings something powerful and unique to this campus.

When you look in the mirror, I want you to see that you are amazing in your own right and that you’re already a vital part of HU’s legacy.

Let’s celebrate who we are, support each other, and make this freshman year unforgettable. 💙❤️

Howard was my first and only choice. Both of my parents graduated from Clark Atlanta University, and so many of my aunts, uncles, and family friends are HBCU proud. Growing up, I always knew the HBCU experience was powerful...and for me, Howard was the one.

But let’s be real: being a Bison isn’t easy. Students from all over the world fight for a spot here. And if you’ve ever been to a Bison Day, you know how serious the Howard legacy is. Honestly, it can feel overwhelming at times. I’ve had to remind myself: I belong here. I was chosen to be here. And that goes for you too!

And listen, we are not meant to just be - we are here to contribute, to leave our mark.

That’s why I’m running for Miss Freshman 2025. This role gives me the chance to represent our class and to show why we just might be the best class HU has ever seen.

My platform, Mirror Mirror, is a challenge to all of us: look in the mirror and see the POWERFUL YOU that God created.

We are the best of the best. And together, we’ll add to Howard’s incredible story.

I'VE BEEN TO SEVERAL CONCERTS, BUT MY FAV WAS DEFINITELY "PARTY NEXT DOOR". (I may or may not have a "Party" poster in my dorm?)
