My name is Reagan May, and I’m a junior at Greater Atlanta Christian. This February, I have the opportunity to return to Guatemala for my fourth missions trip and my second time serving there.
On my first trip to Guatemala, I was able to help build homes and serve alongside an incredible team. That experience deeply impacted me. While we were able to do meaningful work, our team also became sick from the water, which opened my eyes even more to the daily challenges families face. Seeing the need firsthand is what fuels my desire to return.
This upcoming trip is especially meaningful because earlier this year, I tore my ACL. There was a time when I wasn’t sure if I would be physically able to go. After months of recovery, I’ve been officially cleared, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve again.
I will once again be helping build homes for families in Guatemala, and I’m excited to continue this work that has become very close to my heart.
As part of this experience, I’m responsible for raising support for the trip. I’m currently behind in my fundraising, and I would truly appreciate your help. Any amount, big or small, makes a difference and allows me to be part of what God is doing through this mission.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for your prayers! Because of the gratitude of so many, my trip has been fully funded.
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim
the gospel to the whole creation."
Mark 16: 15
My name is Reagan May, and I’m a 16-year-old junior at Greater Atlanta Christian School. High school has been a journey of growth for me: academically, athletically, spiritually, and personally, and I’m grateful for all that I continue to learn along the way.
I’m deeply committed to serving others and have had the opportunity to participate in three previous missions trips to Puerto Rico, Guatemala, and Africa. Each experience has shaped my heart for service and strengthened my desire to use my life to make a difference.
I serve faithfully at Transforming Faith Church, where my parents are pastors, and I’m also involved in Young Life at my school. I am also a leader within the Serve Team at my school.
Athletics have played a big role in my life. I’ve participated in Basketball Cheer for two years, I ran track for 4 years and even won a Statewide medal and have been a member of the Varsity Volleyball team for three years. I was honored to be named Program Player of the Year and selected as one of the team captains for the 2025 season. Even after suffering an ACL tear and undergoing major surgery, I’ve continued to serve my team as a captain, learning resilience, leadership, and perseverance in the process.
Outside of sports and service, I’m the middle daughter in my family, which I like to say means I help hold everything together. I may come across as quiet at first, but once I’m comfortable, my silly side usually shows up.
I’m thankful for every opportunity I’ve been given and for every person who has supported me along the way. I look forward to continuing to grow, serve, and follow God wherever He leads.
